Dauphin County to reschedule two-day Jazz Festival at Fort Hunter Park

Dauphin County Commissioners have announced a rescheduled date for the fifth Annual Dauphin County Jazz Festival. Internationally-recognized jazz greats will take the stage at the annual Dauphin County Jazz Festival, presented by the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA), to be held from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2 at scenic Fort Hunter Park in Harrisburg.

Enjoy two days of outstanding live entertainment outdoors with a weekend pass to the Jazz Festival.

United Social Sports Comes To Harrisburg.

It was quite some buzz when the Kickball League of Pennsylvania announced sign ups for a league forming back in 2008. What a novel idea—a kids' sport for adults, (21 and over), with alcohol. Kickball was instantly popular and now sports a Junior Varsity and Varsity league, both of which fill up virtually overnight.

A year or so later, Harrisburg Young Professionals launched their Kickball League, if not only to address the overflow from Kickball PA. It, too, filled up quickly, but then HYP brought Dodgeball to the table. More physical. More aggressive. More options for the 21+ set to get off the couch and have some fun.

All three social sports have endured to become staples of our capital region.

It's not so much that Zodiac Club is magically drawing in the under-21 crowd, but that the owner, a parent himself, Michael Shefet, has made professionalism and a dedication to the safety and security of the guests, his primary concern.

The Zodiac Club is located prominently on North Third Street in downtown Harrisburg, directly across from the Pennsylvania State Museum. Zodiac shares the same building as Stallions Nightclub, (Harrisburg's award-winning, 26 year old alternative lifestyle dance bar), but Zodiac occupies two separate floors of the building, and uses a totally dedicated front entrance.
